Njoro Township Secondary School is the latest to receive a brand new school bus.
This is a project under the Njoro NG-CDF kitty under patronage of area MP Charity Kathambi.
The area MP’s staff joined the School fraternity, local administrators and parents for the official launch and handover of the bus to the school on Tuesday July 2025 at the School’s grounds.
In a message delivered, Kathambi reiterated her commitment towards education sector.
“I made a promise to transform our education sector and I want to thank all stakeholders and teachers, plus parents for supporting me in this agenda,” she said.
According to her, since she took over leadership mantle, Njoro has transformed in terms of infrastructure in schools, adding that she shall fulfil all promises she made on education sector.
The modern 46-seater bus is expected to ease transportation challenges, enhance capability for educational tours, and support the school’s expanding co-curricular programs.
It is also customized to cater for learners with special needs.
“Education is a critical pillar of national development. Investing in facilities like transport, we are not just empowering schools but securing the future of our country,” she stated.
The school’s Principal, Madam Mary Njuguna, expressed gratitude for the generous gesture, stating that the new bus will greatly improve students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom.
“With this bus, our learners can now fully participate in academic competitions, sports tournaments, and other outreach activities,” she noted.
Parents and students also welcomed the donation, recognizing it as a significant boost to the school’s mobility and logistical capabilities.
Kathambi has reiterated the need for peace to be embraced by all communities in Njoro Constituency, Nakuru County and Kenya as a whole.
She added that without peace, no development can be realized.
