Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama is seeking a lasting solution between locals and the Kenya Wildlife Service.
The MP has been holding several meetings to help the affected families of the Wildlife Human conflicts in the area.
The recent meeting was held on Monday May 26, 2025 where the MP met the KWS boss and devastated families.
It should be noted that there has been challenges of human wildlife conflicts in Nakuru West especially on issues of fishing within Lake Nakuru.
Besides, there are families that were affected by the swelling Lake Nakuru and we’re displaced by the rising waters.
According to Arama, there should be a mechanism on how the families can be assisted to go back to their lives.
The Lawmaker noted that many families were affected and displaced hence as leader they will continue to engage with the relevant authorities to see to it that the families are assisted.
In earlier interviews, Arama was categorical that he is engaging President William Ruto and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika on the matter to find a solution.
He added that he cannot keep silent when his constituents are suffering.
