Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has strongly condemned the recent wave of attacks and killings in Ndege Ndimu and surrounding.
In a statement to Newsrooms, the Lawmaker expressed her empathy with the families affected.
She termed the incidents as heinous acts perpetrated by armed criminals and cowards.
According to Njoki, such are direct assault on the peace, dignity and safety of the communities.
“I am deeply disturbed by the recent wave of violent attacks and senseless killings in Ndege Ndimu and surrounding areas. These heinous acts, perpetrated by armed criminals and cowards, are a direct assault on the peace, dignity, and safety of our communities,” she stated.
The first time serving member of the National Assembly added that such barbarity has no place in a civilized society.
She called for the need for these thugs to be relentlessly pursued, dismantled entirely, and brought to justice without leniency.
The Lawmaker revealed that she has been in constant communication with Interior PS Dr. Raymond Omollo to assist in capacitating security agencies, ensuring they are well-equipped and responsive in dealing with such threats.
“Our security forces must root out these criminals and restore calm without delay,” she said.
Njoki also appealed to the public to share any information they might have that might aid investigations through Kenya Police toll-free numbers—999, 112, or 0800 722 203.
