Bahati MP Irene Njoki has called for thorough investigations into an incident where a three-year-old girl was murdered in Lanet.
Elsie Waithera met her death in a cold blooded at Nnga’nga trading centre in Lanet-Umoja Ward.
“I condemn in the strongest terms possible the cold-blooded murder of three-year-old Elsie Waithera at Nnga’nga trading center in Lanet Umoja ward,” stated Njoki.

The Lawmaker termed it reprehensible act that has not only robbed a precious young life but has also left a scar on the collective conscience of society.
She sent her heartfelt condolences to Elsie’s family, who are enduring unimaginable pain and grief.
In the same spirit, MP Njoki called on security agencies to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book.
“I urge our security agencies to leave no stone unturned in their investigation until the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book. We must stand together as a community to ensure that Else’s family finds the justice they deserve,” she stated.
According to Njoki, such acts of violence and gross violation of human rights have no place in our society.
She called for a collective responsibility in ensuring a safe society for all.
“We must work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all our citizens, especially the most vulnerable among us,” she said.
The murder incident saw locals take to the street demanding justice for the family.
