Njoro Member of Parliament Charity Kathambi has lauded Teret Widows for maximizing on Uwezo Fund.
Kathambi noted that the Fund, records from Njoro Constituency National Government Constituency Development Fund office indicate that the widows have clean record.
She was speaking when she joined the widows for their conference.
The Lawmaker called on society to embrace Widows and treat them with love and dignity.
“Widows are human like any other person only that they carry grief as a burden, pain as a smile and loneliness as a guilt, they deserve love,” she said.
During the meeting, MP Kathambi engaged the widows, a platform that offered her a valuable opportunity to fellowship with women, listen to their experiences and share in their aspirations for their families and community.
Kathambi reiterated that meaningful empowerment is about giving people the support and opportunity to build something of their own.
