Officer Commanding Rhonda Police station has been put on notice by area MP Samwel Arama.
The MP who addressed Constituents on Monday June 9, 2025 during the issuance bursary cheques for Boarding schools, called out the OCS for failing to adhere to ethics of disciplinary service.
According to Arama, the OCS has a tendency of collecting bribe from innocent constituents.
The tough talking Arama threatened to take action against the officer for harnessing business persons in Nakuru West.
He wondered why the officer was behaving that way yet officers are on payroll.
The third term serving Lawmaker vowed to raise the issue with Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja.
“I have been receiving distress calls from members of the public over this issue. I want to send a warning to the OCS that it cannot be that you keep on taking bribes from business people and Bodaboda operators,” he stated.
In the same spirit, the Legislator called on local administrators and village elders to stop behaving as Police informers leading to unnecessary raids.
“Another lot that I’m warning are Village Elders who now behave like informers of police leading to arrests and then instead of people being taken to court, money exchanges hands,” he said.
The Lawmaker who helped build mother Kaptembwa Police Station to standard was categorical that he will be installing some screens within the facility.
