Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama and his Nakuru Town East counterpart David Gikaria are demanding justice following an incident in which police shot one youth who later succumbed.
The leaders who addressed press in London Ward where youth staged protests demanding for justice, said it was wrong for police officers to misuse their firearm.
Arama pointed out that there has been a trend where officers attack innocent Kenyans.
According to the Lawmaker, a section of police officers have lowered their integrity and are now behaving inhumane.
“We cannot sit down and watch as innocent people are being murdered. We will do all we can to ensure justice,” he said.
Arama who revealed that he had visited the morgue where the body of the deceased is, added that it is evident that the youth was shot.
This, he said will not go free adding that police officer who shot the deceased should face full wrath of law.
Sentiments echoed by MP David Gikaria(Nakuru Town East) who is also aspiring Senator 2027.
Gikaria said they will do all that pertains then in ensuring the officer who is reportedly from Nakuru Central Police station is arrested.
“The bullet that was used can help trace the officer who was with that firearm. We are saying as leaders we will work closely to ensure to he officer is arrested,” he stated.
Youths staged protests in London and demanded justice for one of their own.
They barricaded road blocking vehicles and causing traffick snarlup.
But the Lawmakers Arama and Gikaria cooled the situation assuring the youth that they will ensure justice for the family of the departed soul.
