While noting that the gesture had nothing to with politics of Nakuru Town East Constituency, Mwangi challenged those who are blessed with resources in society to ensure they also share with the needy in society.

“Some may say I’m doing this because of politics, but that is not the case. We are doing this because we value our people and more so the vulnerable in society. We all have a responsibility to ensure that everyone in society has a reason to smile,” stated Mwangi.
Mwangi also used the opportunity to laude the sponsors led by Prime Mattress for the support that saw the exercise successful.
On his part Peter Mwangi- the Manager Prime Mattress Nakuru revealed that they had visited several children’s Homes with donations and mbuzi for Christmas.
He added that they intend to go on with similar gestures moving forward.
“When we celebrate with even the vulnerable even God in heaven is happy,” stated the Manager Prime Mattress.
George Kioko- a PWD in Nakuru East and a beneficiary of the donation thanked Mayor Mwangi and partners for the gesture.
Sentiments echoed by Pastor Belly Otieno who noted that the year has been tough with harsh economy.
This, he pointed out that has seen many families go though tough times.
He called on government and well wishers to ensure the welfare of PWDs is taken into consideration, adding that there is need for empowerment of PWDs.
“This is a gesture to be lauded and we call on government to step in and ensure that PWDs are empowered,” he stated.
