Mauche MCA Moses Koros has lauded the county government of Nakuru under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika for enabling access to clean water in various parts of Mauche Ward.
The MCA pointed out the recent completion of a 50,000 liter masonry water tank and the laying of 3.4 kilometers of water pipeline.
He lauded the project, noting that it not only have impact on water access but also the job opportunities created through the use of local labor during construction.
The project will see more than 2,000 residents from Kusumek, Chepitet, Basiriat, Burgei, and Koilong’et villages in Mauche Ward gain access to safe, clean, and reliable water
The MCA further praised the County Administration for other ongoing water initiatives in Mauche Ward, including the Kapkembu Borehole, the equipping of the Kiptenden Water Project, and the equipping and solarization of the Chesoen Water Borehole.
He was speaking during the official site handover.
Chief Officer for Water and Sanitation, Eng. Margaret Kinyanjui, commended local residents for prioritizing water projects during public participation forums on budget allocation.
She also appreciated the community for willingly providing land to facilitate the implementation of the government initiative.
“Her Excellency Governor Susan Kihika remains committed to ensuring every household in Nakuru County has access to clean, safe, and sufficient water,” Eng. Kinyanjui emphasized.
