Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Dr. Fred Matiang’i has affirmed the unity of opposition towards 2027 general polls.
Speaking in Nakuru on Tuesday February 10, 2026, Matiang’i refuted claims of a divided opposition.
He stated that together witth other opposition leaders they will chat a wat gorward towards saving the country.
We shall be opening offces across the country to strengthen the Party.
Matiang’i who spoke after opening Regional and County Jubilee Offices at section 58, Nakuru pointed out that Kenya is doing badly due to bad leadership and individuals who are out to loot public resources meant fir developement.
“We are living in a country full of lies from education to health sector and time is now to change. During our time in government as Jubilee we did the best we could in every sector, and we know what needs to be done moving forward. As oppostion we shall work together towards making this country better,” stated Matiang’i.
Deputy Party Leader Jeremiah Kioni revealed that Jubilee Party will be opening other similar offices across the country.
This, he said will ensure the party is deeply rooted even at grassroot.
Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta pointed out that Jubilee Party is a national party accomodating everyone.
He assured aspirants that there shall be fair nominations and that no one will be favoured but citizens will decide.
According to the SG, time is now to bring about transformation in the country come 2027.
He at the same time called for peace across the country and urged youths to take lead innshaping the nation.
“We want to reclaim our country and time is now and not later,” he said.
Kembi Gitura( Director of elections Jubilee) was categorical that nominations will be carried out in a free and fair way.
That no certificates will be issued on the basis of how much you know who is who.
He pointed out that Jubilee Party has formed government before hence it is a national party.
Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama who hosted the event reiterated that as leaders, they are in Jubilee and that is where they shall vote come 2027.
Arama refuted claims that Matiang’i will not be on ballot.
“I want to refute the claims thaf Matiang’i will not be on ballot. If there is one person who has a stand and principled is one Matiang’i,” he said.
He at the same time told off those claiming that Jubilee is only for Mlima Kenya.
According to him, Jubilee is a National Party.
Arama added that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan county and no one should be intimidated due to their political stand.
Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka(ODM)who also graced the event stated that he supports Matiang’i presidency come 2027.
He urged Matiang’i to remember the people of Kenya and moreso young people who are suffering due to harsh economic times and lack of job opportunities.
According to Onyonka who subscribes to Sifuna-led ODM faction, time is now to make good for this country.
Jubilee Party die -hard Mr. James Karimi who spoke at Milimani office called for unity among Jubilee members.
He stated that he is on a mission to ensure a united Jubilee with numbers ahead of 2027 polls.
According to Karimi, there is need to ensure numbers in Jubilee so that when Matiang’i goes for negotiation then he is respected for the numbers.
Sentiments echoed by Nakuru gubernatorial aspirant Joel Maina Kairu who reiterated that he is in the race on Jubilee ticket.
Former Molo Lawmaker Njenga Mungai on his part assured Dr. Matiang’i that Jubilee has a backing among Nakuru residents.
Mungai at the same time called for unity among Jubilee members, and urged for more registration of members.
Sentiments echoed by former Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna.
He urged residents to of Nakuru to drum support for Jubilee Party.
Jubilee National Youth Leader Angel Mbuthia called on young people in Nakuru and nation at large to rally behind Dr. Matiang’i.
She noted that for many years youth have been neglected.
