Kivumbini Ward MCA Neto Sakwa has told off his opponents over narrative that the ‘Ward is lost’.

Sakwa who addressed on Sunday during a fundraiser for one of his supporters Ms Alunda Ayuma alias Ayu who died, told off his opponents whom he termed as individuals with tribal mentality.
The MCA stated that the fact that several past leadership of the Ward came from ODM party, does not mean that the seat belongs to ODM or any particular community.
Sakwa who was elected in 2022 on Independent candidature, reminded the electorates and his opponents that he has in the past supported ODM and its candidates since 2006 when he ventured into politics of Kivumbini Ward.
The Nakuru County Assembly member for Kivumbini added that any individual in Kivumbini no matter the party he or she comes from nor the community, is eligible to contest the seat and have the people have their say.
MCA Sakwa maintained that politics of tribalism have no room in Kivumbini with the new chapter already set from 2022 politics moving forward.
“I have in the past supported ODM and even previous leaders such Councilor Rose Lai, Councilor Risper Atieno, MCA Major. But why is it that when I won the seat, then it is termed that ‘Ward imepotea’ just because someone who is not from a particular party or a particular community is on the seat? This has to stop. We want unity in this Ward and politics of tribalism should be condemned with the strongest terms possible,” he said.
MCA Sakwa used the moment to declare that he is in the Linda Mwananchi Movement and will be defending the seat on the same ticket.
He rallied voters to back him in the journey of making Kivumbini Ward a better transformed one.
“We are in Linda Mwananchi and nothing more. Let us continue supporting each other as we move to transform this beloved Ward,” stated Sakwa.

Nakuru Town East MP aspirant on Linda Mwananchi ticket Dr Reena Munialo who also graced the event, drummed support for MCA Sakwa’s re-election.
Dr. Munialo termed MCA Sakwa a leader who believes in true leadership showing up for his people in all circumstances.
She used the moment to rally those who have not registered as voters moreso young people to move with speed and do so.
“We are saying we need leadership that listened to the people, leadership that believes in the rule of law and leadership that stands for truth. I want to urge all of us to register as voters so that we can make the change that we want come 2027,” stated Dr. Munialo.
Sentiments echoed by Martin Lunalo from the Mwananchi Movement.
Lunalo stated that the journey towards transformation of this country has kicked off and that the train has left the station headed to 2027.
The vocal youthful leader also used the moment to rally youth to ensure they are part and parcel of leadership, rather than sitting on the periphery.
