Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has sounded a stern warning to sexual predators luring school girls.
Speaking in Mauche, Njoro sub county of Nakuru County during this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations, she noted that several school girls have fallen prey to some individuals who have no morals.
Kihika while pointing out a recent case where a minor was defiled and succumbed in Njoro, called for concerted efforts towards combating such crimes.
She however lauded the DCI officers for unmasking the individuals behind the act and ensuring they are arrested.
Kihika also called on Judiciary to ensure justice for the families of those whose loved ones have been victims of such incidents.
She at the same time urged parents to be cautious on the whereabouts of their children especially during late hours.
“It pains when we see our minors defiled by peoole who should protect them. I want to thank the DCI and the security team here in Njoro for ensuring that the culprits are brought to book,” she said.
On matters teenage pregnancies, Kihika announced that the County Government will support the teenage mothers.
She was however quick to call on security apparatus to ensure those behind the teenage pregnancies are arrested and face the full wrath of law.
According to her, it is not inorder for a teenage girl’s future to be destroyed by some few individuals who act as sexual predators.
“Let the law face up with those destroying the future of our children,” she said.
Kihika who was joined by security team led by Nakuru County Commissioner Dr. Loyford Kibara, assured residents of continued collaboration towards securing Nakuru.
