Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika visited the facility in Naivasha East to inspect progress on its planned upgrade.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the maternity block, laboratory, and other supporting infrastructure at the dispensary.

The facility currently serves residents of Kinungi and the surrounding areas.

Kihika revealed that once complete, the maternity wing is expected to handle at least 2,000 patients every month, in addition to offering maternal healthcare services and helping ease congestion at Naivasha Sub-county Hospital.

Kihika used the moment to urge the contractor and project manager to ensure the maternity wing is completed and fully operational by September this year.

This, she said will pave the way for the dispensary’s elevation to a Health Centre.

“I remain committed to delivering quality, affordable, and timely healthcare services closer to the people,” she stated.
