Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika on Friday October 9, 2026 hosted Nakuru Town East, Nakuru Town West residents to chat way forward 2027 general polls.
Governor Kihika who was joined by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, discussed development priorities and progress in healthcare, education, infrastructure, trade and housing.
During the event, Kihika reaffirmed that her administration is expanding access to quality healthcare through upgraded facilities, including the operationalisation of Bondeni Sub-County Hospital’s theatre, which has recorded 1,592 normal deliveries and 415 Caesarean sections since September 2025. We are also investing in VTCs, ECDE classrooms and sanitation facilities to strengthen education and skills development.
Across the two sub-counties, Kihika stated that her administration continues to improve roads, drainage, water and sewer systems, streetlighting, markets and digital services, while upgrading county estates and settlement infrastructure.
In partnership with the National Government, Kihika’s administration is advancing major road projects, including the dualling of Oginga Odinga Road from Nyahururu Interchange to West Road, rehabilitation of connecting roads and the Rironi-Mau Summit Road project.
Kihika’s administration is also pursuing ESP markets and affordable housing initiatives, including projects at Soilo and KAA Lanet.
