It was joyous moment in Rutere area in Biashara Ward on Thursday October 8, 2026 as Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika commissioned a water Project in the area.

Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Kihika termed this part of her ongoing efforts to expand access to clean, safe and reliable drinking water across the county.
“This is as part of my ongoing efforts to expand access to clean, safe and reliable drinking water across our great county,” she said.
Kihika revealed that the project is funded to tune of Sh11 million, including Sh7 million from FLLoCA.
It is a project designed to serve 2,000 households through an 8.3-kilometre pipeline network.
During the event, Kihika reaffirmed her commitment to completing stalled projects and delivering essential services to Nakuru residents.
“The commissioning marks another significant milestone in my commitment to completing stalled projects and delivering essential services to our people. I assure you of my unwavering commitment to ensuring that our mothers and daughters are relieved of the burden of walking long distances in search of water,” she said.
It will be noted that during her swearing in to office, Governor Kihika vowed to address challenges of water facing residents in various Sub counties of Nakuru.
