Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has come out to strongly defend her husband Sam Mburu from attacks by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Kihika slammed Gachagua for claiming that her husband Sam Mburu was issuing directives to Police officers in Nakuru especially on the recent incident in Subukia where DCP members were having a meeting.
Speaking in Nakuru CBD on Wednesday July 23, 2025 during the launch of Nakuru county Taifa Care by Health CS Aden Duale, Governor Kihika sounded a stern warning to Gachagua.
The tough talking Kihika revealed that Gachagua was trying to intimidate her husband after moves of extortion failed.
“Nikome, Gachagua! What are you demanding from my husband? You’re an extortionist. You tried that nonsense before and he put you in your place. He’s man enough to stand up to your intimidation,” stated Kihika.
Kihika who is a lawyer by profession was categorical that Gachagua’s moves of intimidation have no room in Nakuru adding that if he doesn’t keep off then he will face it rough.
According to Governor Kihika, business persons including her husband Sam Mburu are civilians and have no time in engaging in police or security matters as claimed by Gachagua.
