Three people have died after consuming illicit brew in Ndege Ndimu, Lanet in Bahati Constituency of Nakuru County.
Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital Medical Superintendent James Waweru who confirmed the deaths, revealed that two people age 37 and 41 died while receiving treatment at the facility.
He added that one person was brought to the facility’s mortuary on Saturday morning.
This, even as it remains unclear where the illicit liquor originated.
According John Nguandaru- a member of Nyumba Kumi in the area, the deceased were friends and that they had consumed the liquor together.
He added that they had complained about stomach upset, unclear sight and fatigue before they succumbed.
