The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, this afternoon paid a visit to Endarasha Police Station in Nyeri County.

The visit is a part of a series of similar engagements conducted at other police stations in the region last week, as part of ongoing efforts to assess operational challenges and identify opportunities to enhance the quality and efficiency of police services.
IG Kanja spent much of the afternoon engaging with officers at the station, listening to their insights and receiving feedback on how best to improve working conditions for greater efficiency in delivering the core mandate.

Furthermore, he reiterated that the National Police Service is digitising police processes, including the Occurrence Book (OB), to make it easier for members of the public to file reports, fast-track investigations, and enhance the overall efficiency of the Service as a key player in the criminal justice system.
Recognising that security and safety are a collective duty, he underscored the need for a united approach, calling for collaboration between security agencies, other government bodies, local leaders, National Government Administration Officers (NGAO), and the public.
The event was also attended by Kieni Member of Parliament, Hon. Wainaina Chieni, who thanked IG Kanja for honouring the invitation to visit Endarasha. He also commended the work of the Police Service and assured leaders’ continued support in ensuring safety and security for all.
