Since introduction of Virtual Court Proceedings, many Kenyans have continued to enjoy justice closer to them.
It is a move that Advocate of the High Court Bernhard Kipkoech Ng’etich agrees with.
According to Kipkoech Ng’etich, Virtual proceedings have brought justice closer to the people.
He adds that this has also cut the the distance and time that would be in accessing physical courts.
“The virtual proceedings have played key role in ensuring justice closer to the people,” hw states.
The Lawyer argues that despite some technical challenges with sound here and there, the virtual proceedings should be embraced across all the courts.
He argues that with this, then Real access to Justice continues to become a reality in the country.
He concluded by reminding Kenyans that Justice should remain our shield and defender.
It should be noted that virtual court proceeding played key role during COVID-19 pandemic where there were limited physical meeting and the courts were not exempted.
The virtual court proceedings have also helped in ensuring justice is not delayed due to the absence of lawyers in courts as they can just make their submissions wherever they are without necessarily making it to courts.
