Three venues in Nakuru will play host for Eid-Al-Fitr on Sunday March 30, 2025.
Ramah Mosque next to Mercy Mission Hospital, Menengai High School Grounds and Shabab Grounds will host these key prayers in the Islamic Calendar.
Nakuru Muslim Association Chairperson Faez Ahmed Nasher made the announcement on Saturday during street Iftar held in Bondeni Estate.
He urged Muslims to turn out in large numbers at the three venues for the prayers that marks the end of Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Eid al-Fitr ( ‘Festival of Breaking the Fast’) is the first of the two main festivals in Islam, the other being Eid al-Adha.
It falls on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar.
Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide because it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting (sawm) of Ramadan.
The holiday is known under various other names in different languages and countries around the world.
