Governor Kihika lauded for giving priority to Vocational Training

Governor Susan Kihika’s administration has been lauded for giving priority to education matters specifically the Vocational Training Centres.

Speaking in Nakuru on March 13, 2024 during his tour of various Vocational Training Centres, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria said the county has continued to play key role in the vocational training.

The CS who was welcomed by Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones on behalf of Governor Kihika lauded Cs Kuria lauded County under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika for funding the tuition for all 6000 students enrolled in Vocational Training Centers across the County.

The Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, National Youth Service, and Council of Governors are rolling out a program for NYS collaboration with the Vocational Training dubbed “NYS-VTC MASHINANI”

The CS visited Njoro Vocational Training Center (Njoro), Kipsyenan VTC (Rongai) Bondeni VTC (Nakuru Town East) Kagoto Dhanji VTC (Bahati), Mbegi VTC (Gilgil), Mirera VTC (Naivasha).

Currently, Nakuru County has 34 operational VTCs offering artisan and certificate courses
