Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika has called on security agencies to carry out thorough investigations into the murder of a Nakuru clergy.
The deceased Rev. Julius Ngari Ndumia was serving at PCEA Tabuga Parish, in Bahati Constituency.
“It is with deep sorrow and shock that I received the tragic news of the death of Rev. Julius Ngari Ndumia of PCEA Tabuga Parish,” stated Kihika.
Kihika termed the incident senseless and heinous act that has robbed the Church of a devoted servant of God who faithfully ministered to the people of Nakuru.
On behalf of the people of Nakuru County, Governor Kihika extended her heartfelt condolences to deceased wife Esther Wangui, their children, family, Tabuga Parish, Nakuru East Presbytery, and the entire PCEA fraternity.
“We stand with you in prayer during this painful time. I urge our security agencies to act with speed and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. May the soul of Rev. Ndumia rest in eternal peace,” she said in her message.
The incident was confirmed by Nakuru County Police Boss Boit who revealed that the 3am Monday incident left the clergy dead, while the church guard sustained serious injuries and is recuperating at a Nakuru facility.
