ASK Nakuru Branch fraternity in partnership with well-wishers on Wednesday June 18 participated in Corporate Social Responsibility activity as a way of giving back to the society.
During the event, the staff and other partners mobilized funds and made a donation of food and non food items to various needy students, a section of elderly persons from Nakuru Alms House(Nyumba ya Wazee) among others.
Speaking after the donation, ASK Nakuru Branch Chairman Perminus Migwi revealed that 4 children homes and the elderly benefited from the donation.
He lauded partners among them the NCPB, Coca-cola, Cyprus Park, Kenya Seed, and ATC Molo for the support towards the CSR.
“We chose to do this as a way of giving back to the community even as we look forward to the commencement of the show as from July 2,” he stated.
On the preparations, Migwi was categorical that all is on top gear for the same.
He added that security has been factored in that the Organizing Committee is working closely with the Nakuru West Subcounty Security team towards the same.
Migwi also lauded the County Government of Nakuru under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika for the support towards ensuring a condusive environment for farmers who will be exhibiting.
The commencement of Nakuru National Show will be a boost to Nakuru’s hospitality sector too as guests from neighbouring counties will be spending in Nakuru hotels for the 5 days.
