The culprits behind the ongoing murder and abductions cases in Kenya should be brought to book.
Former Kenya Union of Civil Servants Secretary General Dr. Isaac Newton Kinity says the trend in Kenya is worrying and should be condemned with the strongest terms possible.
While citing the recent where Catholic Priests lost their lives, Kinity-an advocate of good governance taksed Kenya Kwanza Government to ensure such comes to an end.
He noted that Kenya’s economy cannot thrive in such an environment where innocent Kenyans are being killed and other abducted and tortured.
The former unionist called for the restoration of security in areas prone to the attacks such as Kerio Valley.
He at the same called on Government to ensure democracy and freedom of speech prevails in the country.
“The governance of this nation needs to be restructured. We cannot have people being murdered and others abducted then we remain silence,” he stated.
Dr. Kinity who spoke in an interview with one of the Radio stations, also called for the need to address land injustices and ensure measures in place to avert powerful individuals from grabbing land meant for public utilities.
On the brewing bad relationship between Kenya and Tanzania over activists who visited Tanzania to stand with opposition leader in Court in a case of treason, Kinity was categorical that the issue has messed the East Africa integration.
He added that the ongoing wrangles between Kenya and Tanzania even online paints a bad picture and kills the spirit of one East Africa nations.
“If something happens now to Kenya and I’m not saying it will, but then if so there is no country to run to for help,” he stated.
Despite the happenings in Kenya, Kinity urged Kenyans to continue fighting for a great nation where the rule of law takes lead.
He called on Gen Zs to work towards a better nation ahead of 2027 elections.
