Nakuru’s iron lady Assumpta Wangui Muiruri together with other DCP leaders on Wednesday February 11, 2026 joined Kenyans in celebrating Mr Kimeli and Mr. Kiprono for their remarkable cycling journey from Eldoret to Wamunyoro.
The duo had made a stop-over in Nakuru City, in an event that was organized by Mwamba Kinyanjui from Njoro.
He said, the gesture was to encourage the duo for the love they have shown to Gachagua.
Asumpta who is contesting Women Representative seat Nakuru County on DCP party, was accompanied by DCP County Coordinator Dr. William Wachira, DCP SG Sangale Ole Nasieku, DCP Chairman Kimani Kiriri (Simba), Njoro MP Aspirant Kinyanjui Mwamba and Charles irungu Wakaro from Rhoda ward.
The DCP Nakuru brigade applauded their bold initiative to create awareness on ending tribalism and fostering national unity.
Asumpta noted that their journey symbolizes a united Kenya beyond ethnic lines and reflects the warm reception and growing support for DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua in Eldoret and beyond.
The DCP team in Nakuru encouraged them to remain steadfast as they proceed to Wamonyoro.
“Together, we are building one united, progressive Kenya,” stated Asumpta.
Two youthful Kalenjin men Kiplono and Kimeli started cycling their bicycles from Eldoret town to Wamunyiro village in Mathira Nyeri County.
According to the two, their journey to visit Wamunyoro is inspired by the great love towards Gachagua.
“Our journey to visit Wamunyoro is inspired by the great love we have towards Gachagua. We will be cycling day and night until we reach Wamunyoro and meet Riggy G,” they stated.
They added that that despite them being from the president’s backyard, they love Gachagua alot and wish him the best among the United opposition.
