Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Nakuru Branch on Wednesday held aspirants’ and opinion shapers meeting in Molo.
The meeting was convened by DCP Nakuru Branch Secretary General Simon Ole Nasieku.
The objectives of the meeting was to strengthen DCP grassroots support and enhance registration of members.
It was also agreed the approval of the establishment of a Sub-County Office.
Meanwhile, during the meeting Mr Muigai Mburu was elected by the aspirants as the Molo DCP Sub-County Coordinator.
In addition, Ward Coordinators were confirmed during the meeting.
They include:
i). Marioshoni Ward – Mr. Anderson Kigen
ii). Elburgon Ward – Mr. Newton Karani
iii).Turi Ward – Madam Rahab Ndubi
iv). Molo Ward – Madam Rachael Kinyua
The election process was chaired by SG Simon Ole Nasieku and supervised by Bishop Joram Nderu and Elder Charles Njenga Matendo who ensured fairness and transparency in the presence of Dr William Wachira the Regional Coordinator
Speaking during the meeting, SG Nasieku directed that elections similar to the Molo one will soon take place in all the Sub counties to ensure registered DCP aspirants elect Coordinators of their choice from ward to Sub County level
“I’m only interested in having leaders put in place through a process which is open, transparent and accountable so as to instill confidence in future DCP activities,” he stated.
