CS Ogamba: Government investing to ensure access to Higher Education for all

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reiterated Government’s commitment towards Higher Education.

The CS said the Government will continue to invest in the institutions and in digital resources to ensure more Kenyans, regardless of their socio-economic status and geographical location will access higher education.

He was speaking on Friday November 29, 2024 when he presided over the Inaugural Graduation ceremony of The Open University of Kenya at the Konza Technopolis facility.

A total 78 graduands were conferred with their certificates in postgraduate Diploma.

The Open University of Kenya was founded to address the demand for education by leveraging open digital learning to bring education to those who, for various reasons, cannot accessed conventional university education.

The institution stands as a beacon of hope for Kenyans.

CS Ogamba also thanked the faculty and staff of the Open University of Kenya led by the Chairman of Council, Prof. Ezra Maritim, and the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elijah Omwenga, for your commitment to nurturing talent and building an institution that is a model for the future of education.
