Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has told off individuals inciting young people ‘GenZs’.

Addressing press in Nakuru after touring Pyrethrum Processing Factory in Nakuru, the tough talking Kagwe was categorical that a section of Kenyans have no single patriotism aspect in them.

In what seems a reference to the recent unrest in the country by GenZs, Kagwe pointed out that demonstrations and picketing is allowed constitutionally, but destruction of property should be condemned in the strongest terms possible.

He reiterated the need for all institutions to be safeguarded citing the recent destruction of property and institutions.

According to Kagwe, some individuals have been planning to loot and destroy institutions and property.

The CS pointed out that GenZs have not been involved in destruction of property, but criminals who have been planning to cause destruction.

The CS warned that such a move may plunge the country into bad precedence.

“We should be careful not to destroy institutions and property. Let us be patriotic and safeguard our institutions,” he stated.
