Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui on Monday March 18, 2024 presided over the distribution of assorted foodstuffs to Muslims at Jamia Mosque in Kabarnet, Baringo County.
Addressing Journalists during the exercise, the CS lauded the Muslim community for the continued support towards cohesion.

He once again appealed to Muslims to use the Holy Month of Ramadhan to pray for the nation and all leaders as the government tries to restore economy through various initiatives and projects.
Chelugui also called on all Muslims to remember the less fortunate in society.

“The holy month of Ramadhan is about sharing, sacrifice, self-discipline, self-control and empathy, especially for the less fortunate,” he stated.
The CS was accompanied by MPs Joseph Kamau Munyoro (Kigumo), Charles Kamuren (Baringo South), Joseph Makilap (Baringo North), and MCAs Ernest Kibet, (Kabarnet Ward), and Kipruto Kimosop (Mochongoi Ward) among others.
