Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui has mourned departed Veteran Journalist Rita Tinina as a trail blazer in media industry.
In a statement to Newsrooms on March 18, 2024, Chelugui termed Tinina’s death a shock to many.
“The cruel hand of death has snatched from us Rita Tinina— a great journalist, a trailblazer in the mainstream media and a complete and well-rounded reporter,” stated Chelugui.
In the same spirit, the CS has relayed his condolences to the family,NTV Kenya, her colleagues and all those who knew the deceased.
He pointed out that Tinina’s death is not only a blow to her family and media industry, but also a great loss to the country.
Rita Tinina passed on at her house on Sunday March 17.
According to Police, her unresponsive body was found in her Kileleshwa home on Sunday morning.
