CS Chelugui joins Muruguru PCEA congregants for a fundraiser towards construction of Modern Church

Co-operatives Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui has lauded the role played by Church in shaping morals in society.

He also commended the church effort in complementing government agenda in various sectors among them health and education.

Chelugui was speaking on Sunday May 19, 2024 when he attended Sunday Service at the Muruguru PCEA Church in Nyeri Town Constituency, Nyeri County.

Thereafter, the CS joined in a fundraiser towards the completion of the ongoing construction of a bigger and modern church.

“I believe our efforts—today and in the past— will go a long way to invigorate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,” he stated.

Some of the leaders present were Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Nyeri Senator Wamatinga Wahome, area MP Dunn Maina and Principal Secretary in the State Department of Gender and Affirmative Action Anne Wang’ombe.

New Kenya Cooperative Creameries Chairman David Maina and New KPCU PLC Managing Director Timothy Mirugi were also in the congregation as well as a host of Members of Nyeri Government—Executive and Assembly.
