Three police officers are nursing gun shot injuries at a Nakuru facility after they were shot by suspected gang on Sunday evening.
Police statement indicate that the trio were on patrol when the incident happened in Freehold Estate near Chester Hotel.
Nakuru East Sub county Police Commander Samson Andanje who confirmed the incident, adding that he was attending to the matter.
The incident has left residents in shock on whether they are safe or not especially with numerous attacks having been reported in Nakuru recently with atleast four lives having been lost in the last ten days but in separate attacks.
On Sunday morning a security meeting was convened in which elected leaders, Governor Susan Kihika and County Commander Loyford Kibara were in attendance.
The leaders agreed to work in collaboration towards restoring security in the city.
This even as on Saturday, a suspected gang shot Elias Mwambili at his workplace shop in Soilo, Nakuru West and stole Sh 200,000.
