The County Assembly County Assembly of Nakuru is not left out in the ongoing 9th Devolution Conference in Homa Bay County.
The Legislative arm of the County Government of Nakuru is showcasing legislative milestones made since inception of Devolution.
The County Assembly, led by Speaker Joel Karuri Maina joined fellow leaders at the 9th Devolution Conference at Homabay High School.
The Speaker led the MCAs to the event, which brings together national government officials, development partners, county leaders and citizens to exchange ideas and shape the future of devolved governance.
Under the theme “For the People, For Prosperity: Devolution as a Catalyst for Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice” and sub-theme “Re-engineering County Governments to Accelerate Development and Close the Socio-Economic Divide”, the conference offers a platform to showcase county achievements and innovative solutions.
“This conference allows us to share our progress, exchange ideas and reaffirm the Assembly’s dedication to legislation that uplifts our people and strengthens devolution,” he stated.
Deputy Clerk Mr. Stephen Gatimu led the County Assembly staff at the exhibition stand, highlighting the Assembly’s commitment to transparency, innovation and citizen-centered governance.
“Our exhibition tells the story of a County Assembly that not only enacts laws but also ensures governance is accessible, accountable, and responsive to every citizen,” he stated.
