The County Government of Nakuru will work closely with traders towards ensuring they realize their dreams.
This was affirmed by Trade CECM Stephen Kuria when he on Wednesday August 26, 2027 visited Banita Market in Rongai Sub county.
Kuria revealed that Nakuru County is strengthening support for businesses by working directly with traders to address challenges in local markets.
In addition, improve the business environment and create opportunities for enterprises to grow and contribute to the county’s economy.
During the visit, the CECM held discussions with traders to understand the challenges affecting their businesses and identify practical interventions to improve trading conditions.
He reiterated that the County Government remains committed, under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, to creating safe, clean and well-organised markets where traders can operate with confidence, expand their enterprises and create employment opportunities for residents.
Meanwhile, the County has also allocated Sh125 million through the Cooperative and Entrepreneur Fund to provide affordable, low-interest financing for small businesses, entrepreneurs and traders across Nakuru, helping them access capital and strengthen their enterprises.
The CECM noted that by listening to traders and investing in their businesses, the County Government is building a stronger local economy—one trader, one market and one enterprise at a time.
