Senate Speaker Amason Kingi’s father had died.
The news of the demise of Mzee Kingi Mwaruwa was made public by his Son who is speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi.
Speaker Kingi recalled how they last danced in December 2024 celebrating the recovery of their patriarch Mzee Kingi Mwaruwa.
“Since I attained adulthood, I don’t remember ever dancing with you, Dad. Not until the 25th of December 2024 during Christmas at Mjanaheri village when, for the very first time, we danced, danced and danced together until sunset. Your face beamed with joy. We were not just celebrating Christmas but giving thanks to the Almighty for your remarkable recovery after years of battling many ailments. I didn’t know that dance would be the first and last with you, Dad,” stated Speaker Kingi.
In an emotional tribute, Kingi expressed that he was completely broken, especially especially when he remember the painful journey and struggles that his dad went through to make what he is today.
According to the speaker, his dad taught him many valuable lessons, the biggest being never to give up no matter what.
“It is this lesson that has pushed me this far. Indeed, you were God’s gift to us. I would never have asked for a better father. Dad, may the Angels open the Gates of Heaven and welcome another Angel with a dance just like we did at Mjanaheri. Until we meet again, Dad,” stated Kingi.
