Security in Marsabit county has received major boost following pass out of 140 National Police Reservists(NPRs).
National Police Reservists (NPRs) continue to offer critical support to security agencies in tackling banditry, livestock rustling and other organised criminal activities in the Rangelands of Northern Kenya.
Their training before armament and deployment gives them the necessary skills for handling weapons and provides the necessary tactical expertise.
Speaking at Laisamis Police Station on Thursday, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki said the government is working day and night to ensure revamped security in Northern Kenya.
He added that the 140 NPRs will be deployed to supplement the security formations in Marsabit County.
