Farmers in Bahati Constituency who were affected by the heavy downpour have received aid courtesy of area MP Irene Njoki.
The recent heavy downpour led to severe flooding and the destruction of crops across parts of Kabatini Ward.
Following the incident, MP Njoki promptly engaged the National Government to seek urgent support for affected farmers.
According to the MP, her efforts materialized and the farmers have received seeds to replant and restore their livelihoods after the devastating loss.
The Lawmaker added that they are working towards long-term solutions that will manage the water pathways to minimize future damage and better protect farmers and residents.
