As the World marked Valentine’s Day which is perceived as a day for lovers, at Nakuru’s St Joseph’s the Worker Parish Racecourse, World Anointing of the Sick Mass was held.
Also known as Mass for the sick, is a Catholic Sacrament that includes prayer and anointing of people who are ill or aging.
The Mass was led by Parish Priest Simon Kamau assisted by Priests Joseph Ithare and Emmanuel Gaitho.
In his Homily Fr. Ithare called on Christians to continue standing with the sick in hospitals and sickness at homes.
This, he noted is in line with what Jesus Chris did while serving humanity.
