The annual Editors’ Convention has kicked off in Nakuru County.
A delegation from the Kenya Editors’ Guild (KEG) led by President Zubeida Kananu earlier on Thursday paid a courtesy call to Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones.
The Convention is expected to be officially opened on Friday by Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki.
The Editors are gathering in Nakuru for a five-day Annual Editors’ Convention to share ideas in line with this year’s theme of innovative storytelling that is aimed to build public trust and drive change in the digital world.
Apart from discussing issues affecting Journalists in the country, the participants will also sample Nakuru’s wealth of adventurous activities through engaging in a game drive to the Nakuru National Park, trees planting at Menengai Forest, and a networking Gala night.
We are proud to partner with the Kenya Editors Guild as they host their annual convention in our City.
DG Kones reiterated the County Government of Nakuru’s commitment towards strengthened media relationship.
“Together, we aim to promote a vibrant media landscape that informs, inspires, and empowers. We wish them a productive time of insightful discussions,” stated Kones.
