The Speaker of the South Sudan National Assembly Jemma Nunu Kumba is among those graduating today at Egerton University.
She is making headlines as she graduates top of her class in Egerton University’s 48th cohort.
Kumba is graduating with Master’s degree in Security Studies, an achievement she is describing as a significant milestone in her academic and personal life.
“I am happy to have satisfied my lecturers that I had accomplished all that was required of me despite the busy schedules that come with my duties,” she is explained.
The Speaker of South Sudan is acknowledging the challenges of balancing family, work, and studies, calling it a delicate act.
“Balancing between family, work, and studies has been a delicate act, just like it is for most womenfolk who endeavor to further their studies,” she is noted.
The 48th graduation ceremony is taking place at the University Sports Pavilion grounds.
