Activist wants Governors, MCAs barred from branding their images on public-funded images

Nakuru-based activist Laban Omusundi wants Governors and Members of County Assemblies barred from branding their images, names on public funded projects.

Already his petition on the same has been tabled in Senate by Speaker Amason Kinguli.

The Petitioner seeks to bar Governors and MCAs from branding public funded projects with their respective portraits, names, images etc.

Omusundi says he filed this petition to the Senate under the strength of article 37 and 119 of the Constitution of Kenya.

“The petition was informed by the unbecoming gestures of political elites branding public funded projects to advance by massaging their respective political egos,” he stated.
