Three people have lost lives while scores injured on the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway following a Saturday’s accident around Nakuru Teachers College on the way to Salgaa.
According to Police, 2 people perished on the spot while 1 other person died while on way to hospital at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.
The accident involved Farasi Sacco and a lorry.
Nakuru Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi says the vehicles were involved in head on collision due to fog on the road and ongoing rains.
He injured were rushed to Nakuru Level 5 hospital for treatment while the bodies were taken to Nakuru County Mortuary.
The afternoon accident caused a lot of snurl-up on the busy highway.
Drivers have been urged to be careful on the highways during this rainy season.
The vehicles involved in the accident were toed to Salgaa Police station in Rongai Sub county of Nakuru County.
