A sigh of relief for missing Brian Odhiambo’s family as six officers linked to his disappearance are charged

It is a sigh of relief for family of missing Brian Odhiambo as on Monday May 5, 2025 Nakuru Court charged six officers linked to his disappearance.

The six are Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers.
Before Nakuru Principal Magistrate Kipkurui Kibelion, the six officers Francis Wachira, Alexander Lorogoi, Isaac Ochieng Odhiambo, Michael Wabukala, Evans Kimaiyo, and Abdulrahaman Ali Sudi were charged with the offence of abduction with intent to secretly and wrongfully confine Odhiambo on January 18, 2025, at around 10:00 am in Bondeni, Nakuru East Sub-County.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) opposed the release of the officers on bond pending trial.

The ruling will be delivered on May 12, 2025, by Kibelion.

The officer have been remanded at Nakuru GK Prison pending the ruling.

Brian Odhiambo,33, has been missing since January 18, 2025, when he was reportedly arrested by the KWS officers at the Lake Nakuru National Park, in what the family said he was arrested for allegedly trespassing into the protected park.
