Kenyan activist and presidential hopeful Boniface Mwangi maintains that there should be amendment to the laws to pave way for corrupt individuals to be hanged in public.
Mwangi who spoke in Nakuru during the recent Uwazi Festival, stated that such a move will help end corruption in the country.
The vocal activist who has declared interest in the Presidential race 2027 on UKWELI PARTY, stated that corruption is a disease that has derailed development in the country hence need for tough penalities among them public hangings for individuals convicted of grand corruption.
While urging young people to take lead in shaping the political Leaders space in the country, the UKWELI PARTY Leader said he will push for legal reforms to classify major economic crimes and corruption as capital offenses punishable by death.
According to him, public servants found guilty of looting public resources should face public execution at Uhuru Park after exhausting all legal appeals.
It should be noted that this l is part of the platform for the Ukweli Party leader as he campaigns for the presidency in the August 2027 general election.
Mwangi who also opened the UKWELI PARTY office Nakuru County at Kabarak, called on young people to register in large numbers as voters ahead of the general elections 2027.
He said this will enable their voice be heard in a huge way, hence bring about the change required.
