In 2022, Nakuru Town West MP Samwel Arama defied all odds including the strong UDA wave in Nakuru County to win Nakuru Town West MP seat on Jubilee ticket.
The Lawmaker was elected for a third term with a win against his great opponents.
His win saw him become the MP for Nakuru Town West for three consecutive terms.
It will be recalled that in 2013, Arama became the first MP for Nakuru Town West Constituency that was birthed from the entire Nakuru Town Constituency.
The Lawmaker seems to have mastered politics of Nakuru Town West.
Having served three consecutive terms, Arama has declared that he will be defending his seat come 2027.
A close ally of former CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Arama has maintained his rapport with the constituents.
On many occasions you will find him having meetings with various groups in Nakuru West.
He believes in an open policy where constituents can meet their leader without going through numerous protocols.
The Lawmaker has on many occasions stated that service delivery is the scorecard for any leader, adding that come 2027 his development record is what will see him sail through.
He has always challenged electorates to make the right decision based on development record for every leader.
Though elected on Azimio ticket, Arama has maintained close relationship with the Kenya Kwanza regime under President William Ruto.
He challenges leaders to always focus on service delivery after elections.
According to him, once the elections are over, leaders should work together towards service delivery.
