Sombre mood as memorial service for 7 souls who perished in road crash is held

Sombre mood engulfed Free Area PCEA church on Sunday April 7 during the memorial service of seven souls who lost their lives in a tragic road accident along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Nakuru County Deputy Governor, H E David Kones, represented Governor Susan Kihika in honoring the seven.

Kones who was accompanied by Water Cabinet Secretary Zachary Njeru, said the loss was felt not only in Nakuru but nationally.

He at the same time extended condolences to the grieving family and assured continued support and urged them to remain strong and steadfast in prayer.

Sentiments that were echoed by Water Cabinet Secretary Zachary Njeru.

Also in attendance were County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) Stephen Kuria (Trade), Zipporah Wambui (Education), Leonard Bor (Agriculture), Chief Officers Margaret Kinyanjui (Water), Stella Mwaura (Lands), Political Advisor Joseph Kibore, Francis Njoroge (Office of the Governor), and several MCAs led by Area MCA Anthony Kanyiri.
