Rebby Chepchumba Sebei in the race for Baringo Woman Rep seat 2027

Baringo County Woman Rep aspirant 2027 on United Democratic Alliance(UDA) party ticket Rebby Chepchumba Sebei has revealed why she is in the race for the seat.

In an exclusive interview with this writer during a tree planting exercise at Maji Mazuri Forest in Koibatek, Baringo County on March 28, 2026, Rebby was categorical that there has been numerous gaps in terms of governance and the space of women and youth in governance.

Having worked with community in various initiatives, she pointed out that it has always been her vision to see empowered society where women and youth are part of decision making.

According to Rebby, most issues affecting women and youth in Baringo County are yet to be addressed.

“There has been a big gap when it comes to women and youth in society. My more than 7 years of working with community, it is clear that women and youth feel their issues are yet to be addressed,” she said.

She assured that when elected Woman Rep Baringo County 2027, she will provide a platform for women and youth to air their issues, and work towards sustainable solutions.

Born in Tiaty Sub-County of Baringo County, Rebby Chepchumba Sebei is an alumni of Tangulbei Primary School and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Moi University and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from Mount Kenya University.

Her interaction with members of the community is on another level through various initiatives among them supporting vulnerable children through bursaries, provision of learning materials, promoting peace-building initiatives among communities, particularly between the Pokot and Ilchamus communities.

She has also supported women through economic empowerment programs.

On matters youth, she has been involved in youth empowerment by facilitating employment and skills training opportunities, while advocating for inclusion and economic empowerment of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).

With this vast interactions with community, Rebby Chepchumba Sebei stands out as experienced leader who understands the challenges facing communities in Baringo County.

She has already outlined her leadership agenda touching on matters education for all, women empowerment, skills training for youth.

She also vows to promote inclusive development that caters for persons with disabilities.

During the interview, Rebby Chepchumba Sibei also called on communities in Baringo to embrace peace and cohesion, adding that in a cohesive society much development can be realized.
