President William Ruto has named Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki as new Deputy President.
Kindiki will replace Rigathi Gachagua who was impeached on Thursday night while in hospital.
Prof Kindiki is to be approved by the National Assembly before he is sworn in.
