Preparations are on top gear for this year’s Nakuru National Agriculture Society if Kenya Show that serves as Central Rift’s zone show.
Chairman Perminus Migwi says Nakuru ASK show is on and preparations are on top gear.
Speaking during ASK Nakuru National Show Media Breakfast meeting, Migwi was categorical that Nakuru has great potential and ASK Show is a great platform towards the same.
“It’s a platform towards gaining knowledge in both trade, agriculture and even business,” he stated.
According to Migwi, the show commences on July 2 to July 6, 2025 under the theme ‘Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth’.
This year, he noted that they expect to have additional exhibitors as compared to before adding that exhibitors believe Nakuru is the best place for business and ASK is a platform to help the traders and exhibitors.
Over 150 exhibitors expected to showcase at the facility.
Gate charges are Kshs 300 for adults and Kshs 250 for children.
Special parties will part with Kshs 250 for adult and Kshs 200 for child.
David Mwangi from Nakuru County Tourism Association who is also a member of the ASK organizing Committee, noted that the theme for this year is key.
He urged Journalists to align their content and news coverage with this theme.
In addition, learners and teachers who labour to bring their students to the Show will be given certificates of recognition as a way of encouragement to schools.
On matters security, Chairman Migwi revealed that they are working closely with security led by Nakuru West Sub county Police Commander to help on matters security as the Show expect to host over 100,000 guests for the 5 days.
Already the committee in charge is working on public awareness on the same and on Wednesday June 18, 2025 there shall be a huge procession within Nakuru Town starting at KANU Street.
The event will culminate in a Corporate Social Responsibility activity at Show Ground where donations will be made to the senior citizens, the street children and other vulnerable groups.
This time round the committee has invested greatly in matters publicity working with journalists across all the media platforms including content creators.
According to Migwi, there shall be special tent with experts on new technology in Agriculture e.g the Artificial Insemination(AI) on July 3 and July 4, 2025.
This tent will ensure that farmers get the training on new technology.
“We are working in collaboration to ensure great positive impact on matters agriculture and economy,” he stated.
He also used the moment to urge youth to make good use of the ASK Nakuru National Show to learn on technology in Agriculture.
According to him, Kenya has great asset in youth and there is need to be supported.
“We have a great asset in the youth of this country and therefore we need to assist them through technical skills. In doing so, even the GenZs will really be of great impact to the economy of this country,” he stated.
