Patrick Thegu Mutahi has been re-elected and installed as Moderator Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) in Kenya.
The event took place at St Andrews Church in Nairobi County.
Speaking during the event, President William Ruto said the government is enhancing relations with the church to shape public policy, support the provision of social services such as health and education and build unity and harmonious co-existence in our country.
Sentiments echoed by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara who is also a member of the church lauded the role of the church in national development agenda.
She called for mutual collaboration between the church and state.
“The Church plays a critical role in the development and growth of our Nation. As a member of the PCEA church I advocate for mutual collaboration between the church and the state.
The event was the 24th General Assembly of the PCEA Church and the installation ceremony of Moderator Rev. Thegu Mutahi.
